Cleric Wedding Officiant
If you’re looking for something fun and meaningful to add to your wedding ceremony, I offer a story-telling background, skilled public speaking, authentic cleric attire—and MOST importantly my profound belief that couples deserve an officiant who recognizes and respects their uniqueness. I am honored to be part of your joyful gathering and provide a customizable ceremony that can be short and sweet or expand to include readings, music, in-memory moments, and traditional or creative unity rituals. Post-ceremony paperwork filing included. We can discuss travel costs if you are outside the Keweenaw Area.

Storyteller Wedding Ceremony
Your Storyteller Wedding is all about casting a spell of happy enchantment over you and your guests. Elaborately garbed as a mythical cleric I weave playful, meaningful and poetic “storyteller” language with your own personalized elements—into a ceremony that evokes timelessness and magic.
Includes:
Pre-Booking Consultation
20-30 minutes in-person or via phone/video chat to see if I’m the best fit to officiate your big day.
Planning Meeting
60 minutes in-person or via video chat to put together all of your ideas and preferences for a customized ceremony. We’ll start with my Storyteller Wedding Script, and you can add readings, music, in-memory moments, unity rituals, and/or personal vows (I have lots of possibilities if you need help/suggestions). This is also when we’ll structure the processional and recessional order, and determine if we’ll need sound equipment for the ceremony. You are welcome to be in touch via email for any further changes, and I will send you our final draft the week prior to the ceremony so that you can share the ceremony timeline with your photographer, videographer, wedding party, etc.
Rehearsal
Let’s take the time to make sure your wedding goes off without a hitch! I’ll come to your rehearsal venue and lead a practice processional, ceremony timeline, recessional, and sort out any ceremony-related details that come up before the big day.
Ceremony & Signing
I will arrive 30 minutes prior to your start time to coordinate with any of your other vendors that I may need to (for sound, photography, etc.), and help in whatever way I can. We’ll do your beautiful ceremony as planned, followed by the legal signing of your marriage license (with your two witnesses) after your recessional.
Marriage License Filing
Whenever possible I will hand deliver your license to its proper County Clerk’s office, and when not possible I will send it by Priority Mail so that I can track its delivery. I am aware of all the laws governing legal marriage in Michigan and follow them to the letter.

Storyteller Simple Signing
The perfect choice for couples who know that they want to keep it short and sweet, but add a magical aesthetic for a truly unique wedding memory.
Elaborately garbed as a mythical cleric I will meet you in the location of your choice to say a few legal (but still playful, meaningful and poetic!) words, and sign your marriage license. You are welcome to invite guests and/or have a wedding party, and to write and lead your own ceremony or vows. I can say my legal words at any point you like. The Storyteller Simple Signing does not include a planning meeting, as my role is just a few lines and signatures. If you want help planning and rehearsing a more structured wedding, consider my Storyteller Ceremony or Classic Ceremony instead of the Simple Signing.

Classic Wedding Ceremony
Your Classic Wedding is just that—classic. If you are looking for a simple, modern approach to traditional ceremony elements and language, this is for you. I love weaving the timeless with the fresh and personal. For Classic Weddings I dress in a tasteful suit or jacket & tie, depending on your formality level, and can color coordinate if it’s helpful.
